This Week's Same Time, Same Station Program Schedule:

This week's show is devoted to Jack Benny and the life of the man who impersonated him, Eddie Carroll.

We knew Eddie only for the last 10 years of his life. Sadly, we lost Eddie Carrol to a brain tumor, early Tuesday morning 04-6-10.

For several years, Larry chaired annual conventions for The Society To Preserve And Encourage Radio Drama Variety And Commedy. In the year 2000, we invited Eddie to come and play the part of Jack Benny in an Old Radio Convention recreation directed by Herb Ellis. Needless to say, we all had a wonderful time.

Over the years, we kept in contact, and in September of 2009, Larry interviewed him for an on line Old radio site, called: "Radio Out Of The Past". Eddi was truly a very nice, genuine, classy man who we had the highest respect for.

Portions of that interview make up this week's show.

Our deepest sympathies go to Carolyn and the entire family.

Eddie was a truly wonderful man and we will miss him greatly.

During the interview Eddie stated that they just don't make people like they did in earlier times. Well, the same can be said of Eddie. He was truly an inspiration and he will live on in our memory as a truly incredible human being.

May God bless his memory, and the entire Carroll family.
